Boyer, Larry Gene | 4-19-1943 | 1-4-2006 | b. Ponca City OK Kay co, d. Hutchinson ks Reno co, S/O Leroy and Wilma Williamson Boyer. His early days were spent around Arkansas City. He graduated from Arkansas City High School in 1961. Ministered to several churches of Christ in the Kansas area. He also impacted numerous young lives during his 17-year tenure at Hutchinson Community College, where he taught several classes and sponsored Christian Fellowship. |
Cockrum, Elsie Valentine | 2-14-1911 | 1-22-2006 | b. Pindall AR Searcy co, d. wichita, D/O William M. and Nettie H. Emley. She was married to Ned L. Cockrum on July 21, 1928 in Winfield, KS. Elsie was a long time member of the Sedgwick County Federation of Women's Democratic clubs. She is preceded in death by her husband, Ned and son, Ronald. |
Patterson, Kenneth Wayne

2-5-1921 | 2-5-2005 | b. Arkansas City Ks, d. Wichita, S/O Jack and Agnes Patterson and was the grandson of Oscar J. and Rhoda Patterson, a pioneer family of Cowley County. He graduated from the Arkansas City High School in 1939. In 1944 he married Dorothy Fisher. She died in 1964. In 1968 he married Mildred Andrews. They were later divorced. In 1974 he married Reda Simmons. She died in 1991. Pat was at Beech during WWII, going on to Houston as a Vice President of Cardwell. Upon returning to Wichita he rejoined the aviation industry and built Floair into one of the largest aircraft ferrying companies in the world, doing business with Beech, Cessna and Learjet, and was an accomplished pilot in his own right. He was a member of the Masons. Preceding him in death were his parents, two wives, brother Merle Patterson, one son, one granddaughter and one great-grandson. |
