Curtiss, Wheeler (1837 - 12 Apr 1901)
Wheeler Curtiss died very suddenly at his home in this city about 8 o'clock Friday evening. Although he had been in poor health for the past two years, his death was quite unexpected. The cause of his death was heart failure.
Deceased was born at Carlisle, Ohio, and was about 63 years of age at the time of his death. He came with his parents to Dane County, Wis., where he resided until enlisting. He served through the war in the Twnety-third Wis. After the war he came to Clark County, where he has ever since resided. A few years ago he was married to Mrs. N. Hallock who survives him. He also leaves two sisters, Mrs. D. Dickinson and Mrs. R. Dewhurst to mourn his death.
The funeral was held Monday afternoon, Rev. T. Grafton Owen officiating.
