History of Joseph and Ernest Horehled

Joseph and Ernest Horehled are engaged in farming in the town of Washburn. Joseph, the father, was born in Czechoslovakia, June 24, 1888, He located in Chicago for a short tithe before coming to Clark County, Wisconsin.  He married Louise Spaete, April 23, 1913. They were the parents of three children, one having died in infancy, leaving one son and one daughter.

Ernest, now living on the home farm with his father and Erns., the daughter, Mrs. Warren Cattanach of Newport, Minnesota. The mother, Mrs. Joseph Horehled, passed away January 8, 1961.

Mr. Horehled remarried Mrs. Lena Marshall of Neillsville, October 10, 1966.

Ernest Horehled, now on the home farm, was 'born December 27, 1915. He is a dairy farmer, and has a shop where he does cabinet work and repairs machinery. Be lived on the farm with his parents until the year 1940, when he married Vivian G. Beyer, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Wm. Beyer on September 19, 1940. His wife received her education in Neillsville, and after graduating, worked three years in the Agricultural Stabilization and Conservation office in Neillsville. They are the parents of three daughters, Carol, married to Roger Krause, now located at Sparta; Helen, a secretary at the Technical Institute of Eau Claire, and Joan at home.
