Dorchester Taverns
Taverns located in the village include Don Nancy Robida's Lola Eckerstrom's Cozy Corner Bar Harold and Pearl Graf's Pearl's Palace and the Frontier Bar. The Frontier Bar, presently owned by Mrs. Kyrle (Angeline) Pankow, stands as a reminder of the 1800's. In 1874 Michael Donnelly purchased land from the Wisconsin Central Railway and later built a hotel called Donnelly House. Later it was called the Star Hotel. Surviving both fires of 1923 and 1929, it is believed to be the oldest business building in the village of Dorchester in 1973.
