Bruley, Edward E. (10 Augl 1853 - 19 Apr 1902)
Saturday morning, April 19th, 1902, death came to the relief of Edward Bruley, who several months past has suffered severely from and obscure disease which caused intense and continued pain in his head. In addition to treatment by most of our local physicians, he had visited St. Paul and La Crosse to consult specialists, but notwithstanding the best of medical skill and the care of loving friends, only temporary relief could be given and he gradually grew weaker and weaker until he died.
Edward E. Bruley was born at Ottawa City, Canada, Aug. 10, 1853. He came to Neillsville, Clark County when fifteen years of age and has made his home here ever since, except two years spent at Eau Claire and La Crosse. Feb. 29, 1876, he was married to Mary E. Campbell who, with their three daughters, Mrs. I.M. Stockwell and Marie and Ida, survive him. Deceased was a kind and loving husband and father, a good neighbor, an active, energetic man and an upright citizen. A wide circle of friends has bestowed unavailing sympathy upon him during his protracted suffering and now extends sympathy to his family and relatives. The funeral was held Monday forenoon at the Catholic Church.
