Gall, Joseph (22 Jul 1842 - 16 JUL 1902)
Joseph Gall died at his home near Globe, Clark County Tuesday, July 16, 1902, after a lingering illness, dropsy being the cause of his death. He leaves a wife and nine sons and three daughters to mourn his death.
Deceased was born in Elsas, Germany, July 22, 1842, came to America at an early age and about twenty years ago moved to the town of Weston, where he purchased a piece of land. By earnest effort assisted by his faithful wife, he carved out a comfortable home in what was then a wilderness. He was a good husband and father, true to his friends and an honest and upright man in all ways. Although in the past few years affected by the dread disease that caused his death he was cheerful and bore it all with patience. He will long be remembered by those who knew him best and to all bereaved ones, the sympathy of all is extended.
The funeral was held from St. Mary's Catholic Church Friday morning, attended by a large concourse of friends and neighbors gathered to pay their last respects to the deceased. The remains were laid to rest in St. Mary's Cemetery.
