Wright, Horace V. (10 Augl 1839 - 17 Dec 1902)
Horace V. Wright died at his home in the town of Dewhurst, Clark County, Dec. 17, 1902, after a lingering illness of several months. He was born at Ball Mountain, Washington Co., N.Y., Aug. 10, 1839, and was married to Emma Fuller Dec. 25, 1865. He was the father of six children, of which five survive him, three sons and two daughters, namely Mrs. A.T. Goock of the town of Center, Rock County, Fred H. Wright of Edgerton, Mrs. John Apfel of Columbia, Alfred Wright of Janesville and Glenn H. Wright of Columbia. Deceased was one of the pioneers of Columbia, coming there to superintend the opening up of the town and looking after the interests of the land company, afterwards settling on a farm not far from the village. He was well liked by all. His wife survives him, and his children have the sympathy of the entire community.
