Breed, Chester (? - 1 Feb 1903)
The Chicago papers of Feb. 2 contain an account of the probable drowning of Chester Breed formerly of this city (Neillsville, Clark County), and another man while duck hunting in a boat on Lake Michigan. They started out in the morning with some provisions in the boat, and on their not returning, search was instituted. A note written on a paper tablet and signed by the two men was found on shore in the sand. It stated that they were sinking and never expected to reach shore.
