Frechette, Anita Vivian (17 Apr 1901 - 7 Sep 1903)

Death has again visited our community (Neillsville, Clark County), claiming for its own the youngest daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Henry Frechette. Anita Vivian Frechette was born April 17, 1901, and had always enjoyed the best of health. About two weeks ago she was suddenly taken sick, the nearest doctor was called immediately and he pronounce it spinal meningitis. But with all the most loving and tender care ministered to her, she grew steadily worse and Monday evening, Sept. 7, closed her eyes in her eternal sleep with Jesus.

The funeral services were held from the town hall, Rev. Longenecker officiating. All the schools then in session were closed, the children marched to the town cemetery where the remains were laid to rest each giving there a bouquet of flowers as their last token to the departed little one.

The services at the grave were simple and appropriate, and as the body was lowered to its resting place the choir sang "Safe in the Arms of Jesus."

The bereaved ones have the sympathy of the entire community.
