Conrad, Carolina Susan (Mar 1832 - 9 Sep 1903)

Carolina Susan Conrad died Wednesday evening Sept. 9th, 1903 at the age of 71 years and 6 months. She was born in Germany and as a young lady with friends she came to this country and was married to Mr. Conrad. They located in the town of Grant, Clark County and made a nice farm. Their marriage was blessed with four daughters and two sons, of who one daughter died quite a while ago, the rest live in this country.

Mrs. Conrad was an active person a good wife and a kind mother. While sick her daughter Ida Conrad cared for her and will now miss her mother very much. Mother Conrad wished to take the Lord's Supper two weeks before she died. We hope and believe she was prepared to meet her God. She was buried Saturday afternoon at 2 p.m. The funeral sermon was preached by Rev. J. Schneller of Marshfield. The ceremony began at the house and the sermon was preached in the Evangelical Church near her home. The body was buried in the Pleasant Ridge Cemetery. There are mourning for her departure three daughters and two sons and other relatives.
