Balch, Loren (1856 - 22 NOV 1903)
Sunday, R.W. Balch received a dispatch from Denver, Col., that his brother Loren had suffered a stroke of paralysis and later in the day another dispatch came telling of his death. No further particulars were received. Directions were immediately wired to have the remains sent here (Neillsville, Clark County) for burial. Deceased was born in Newberg, Washington County and was 47 years of age. He was a man of large business and executive ability, having been for several years the general agent for the J.I. Case Co. in Colorado and other western territory. For some time he was the manager of the Neillsville washboard factory and has a large circle of friends here.
