Ketel, Eda (Marriage - 30 Jul 1902)
David L. Pickering and Miss Eda Ketel were married at the home of the bride's mother, Mrs. Wm. Ketel on State St., at 8:00 o'clock, Wednesday evening, July 30. Rev. G.W. Longenecker performed the ceremony. Only relatives of the young couple were in attendance. There were many beautiful floral decorations and after the ceremony supper was served. The groom is a younger brother of Myron P. Pickering whose marriage is recorded in this issue. They are the sons of Mr. and Mrs. Byron Pickering, old residents of the town of Sherwood, Clark Co.. Mr. and Mrs. Pickering have reared a family to be proud of, both sons and daughters, and all the young men of the county with whom we are acquainted, none stands higher in our estimation than the groom. The bride is one of Neillsville's most talented young women. She is a graduate of the high school in the class of 1897, and has since been engaged in teaching. The young couple will begin housekeeping in the near future, in their new home at Nevins.
