Lee, Bessie (Marriage - 22 Dec 1903)
Charles Lester Woodward and Miss Bessie Lee were married at the home of the bride's mother, Mrs. Hattie Lee, Tuesday evening, Dec. 22, 1903, Rev. G.W. Longenecker officiating. The wedding was a quiet one, only the families of the bride and groom being present. The groom is the son of Mr. and Mrs. W.F. Woodward. He was born and brought up in Neillsville, Clark County, and is a young man of excellent habits and good character. He occupies the position of baggage master at the depot, where his steady attention to business will doubtless soon win for him promotion. The bride is a bright intelligent young lady. For some time past she has been a compositor in this office, and while we regret to lose so useful a member of our force, yet we extend to the young bride and groom our heartiest congratulations and good wishes, and hope that they May meet in life's endeavors all the happiness and success they merit.
