Northup, Francis O. (20 Augl 1844 - 18 Jul 1904)
Francis Olney Northup was born in Hunellsville, Steuben Co., N.Y., Aug. 20, 1844.
Once year after the family moved to Horicon, Dodge Co., Wis., where they lived until the year 1865, when he with the family moved to Clark Co., Wis., town of York, where he resided until the time of his death July 18, 1904.
He was married in the fall of 1869 to Julia E. Dwyer, who preceded him in death nine years ago. He leaves a family of four, three sons and one daughter, Frank A. John E., Percy L. and Julia, M., wife of Parker Metcalf. The sons are not married, all living at home. He has two sisters still alive in Cherokee, Iowa.
Mr. Northup has been in poor health for something over a year with a complication of diseased which caused his death. He was one of the oldest settlers in Clark Co., and the last one in his old settlement. He was a farmer, an honest quiet man who caused no trouble and leaves hosts of friends to mourn his death. He was buried in the Neillsville Cemetery Tuesday, July 19, 1904.
