Klopf, John (22 Sep 1830 - 18 OCT 1904)
John Gottlieb Klopf, one of the oldest residents of Neillsville, Clark County, died at the home of his son, Gottlieb in this city, Oct. 18, 1904. He was born in Ermalshouse, Koenigshaufen, Germany, Sept. 22, 1830. He came to America in the forties, and was married in Brooklyn, N.Y., and made his home there for about ten years.. He then moved to Sheboygan Co., where he resided for 18 years, moving to Neillsville about 29 years ago. He was the father of eight children, three of whom survive him, namely, John who resides in Sheboygan Co., Gottlieb of this city and Mrs. F.D. Riedel of the town of Grant. He leaves also 23 grandchildren. His first wife died in 1886. Later he married again, the second wife surviving him.
