Chadwick, Joseph (1887 - 27 NOV 1904)

Sunday, Joseph Chadwick, so of Thos. Chadwick Jr. was killed by the accidental discharge of a gun west of Black River in the town of Eaton, Clark County. It was supposed that he was standing on a log resting the butt of the gun on the log, and it slipped off, causing its discharge. He was a young man about 17 years of age. His father was committed to the insane asylum about a year ago, and is said to be recovering rapidly. It is feared that the news of his son's tragic death May again unsettle his mind when he hears about it.
