Ole A. Jackson died at his home on Fourth St. (Neillsville, Clark County) at 2 o'clock p.m. Jan. 5, 1905. On Christmas day he sustained a fall which cut and bruised his head. Later erysipelas and blood poisoning set in. He became delirious and semi-conscious until the end. He was born at Taylor in Jackson County, Wis., Nov. 20, 1864. On coming to Neillsville, he established himself in the barber business, building up a good set of customers. In 1888, he was married to A. Neverman, who with their three children, a son and two daughters, survive him. During the Spanish-American War he was First Lieutenant of Co. A., becoming captain after the death of Capt. Brewster. He was a man of intelligence and of generous impulses. The funeral took place Sunday afternoon at the house, Rev. G.W. Longenecker officiating.
