De Lane, Maggie A. (? - 19 Jan 1905)

Mrs. Maggie Aurilla De Lane, daughter of James Cannon of this city (Neillsville, Clark County), died at her home in Rutland, Vt., Jan. 19, 1905. She had been ailing from consumption for several months, but did not fail rapidly until about a week before her death. She was born in the town of Washburn in this county and came with her parents to Neillsville, where she grew up and attended school. May 15, 1893, she was married to Adelbert H. De Lane and went to Plattsburg, N.Y. to live. About a year ago they moved to Rutland, Vt. She leaves a husband and three small children; also father, a brother, C.D. Cannon of Elk Mound, Wis., and two sisters, Mabel Cannon of this city and Lida Cannon who teaches at Plainfield, Wis.

The remains were placed in a vault at Rutland to remain until spring, when they will be sent back to Neillsville or to Plattsburg, N.Y. for burial.

Mrs. De Lane will be remembered here as quiet and lady-like in manner. She was a good wife and mother, devoted to her home and children, but never losing her interest and affection for father, brother and sisters at the old home.
