My great grandparents are Walter & Harriet (Hollands) Turley. I was born and raised in the Rolfe area. I am now living in Florida.

I have only second & third hand versions of my family history and I am VERY interested in any information that you could give. I know my great grandparents came from England in 1891 - I have the ships passenger list and some information about the Turley family as I have a Bible that dates back to the 1700's.

I have searched the Rolfe Cemetary records ( old & new) which has brought me into contact with you.

PLease give me some information as to how Harriet Hollands is related to the Coffins & Hucksteads - I am sure this is the reason that the Turley's settled in the Bradgate area. I do have a picture with my grandparents and some members of the Coffin family but have no idea who is who. Also, if you know of any family history relating to my grandfather Walter I would love to know. It seems there is some story there as to his background and why they came to Iowa.  Thank you, Lois Turlley Heller

My father was James H Mowe. His father was Fuller Mowe and his mother was Catherine (sp?) Huckstead. I believe they were from Florida.

We had a relative in Iowa names Herbert Coffin. If he is in your picture, he May have a hook on one arm. My father was born in 1904. Please contact me if you have any information that might be helpful, or if I might be helpful to you.

My father was born in Bradgate, Iowa. He had a sister Mildred born there in 1906.
