Morse, Lyman (1851? - 25 May 1905)
Mr. Lyman J. Morse died at his home in Yew Park May 25, 1905 at 4 p.m.
Mr. Morse was stricken down six weeks ago and has been a constant sufferer since. He was born in New York 51 years ago. In his early boyhood he moved to Wisconsin and from there to Oregon three years ago, making his home in Salem. During this time he has won the respect and esteem of a host of friends. His straight forward, Christian life has had a telling influence in the community in which he lived, which mourns his loss.
Mr. Morse leaves a wife, son and a number of brothers and sisters, who by his decease, are sustaining a great loss. (Oregon Statesman)
