Romaine, Ed (? - Jul 1905)
Ed Romaine, one of the early settlers north of Loyal, Clark County and a prominent citizen of this county, died suddenly of diabetes at the home of his daughter at Couer de Lene, Idaho, while making a visit there. Mr. Romaine was for many years one of the active and forceful men of his community. For some time past his health had not been the best and he had retired from farming and lived in Loyal village. He was an upright citizen, a man of hospitality, large hearted and generous. He leaves a wife and four daughters, besides many other family connections, to mourn his death. He will be buried in Neillsville Cemetery today or tomorrow.
