Londgren, Andrew W. (24 Augl 1848 - 30 OCT 1905)
Andrew Londgren died at his home in Chili, Clark County, Monday, Oct. 30, 1905, after a few weeks? illness. He was born in Sweden, Aug. 24, 1848. At an early age he went to sea following the life of a sailor. He came up the Mississippi River and in 1873 came to Neillsville. For a time he was janitor of the High School and later turnkey at the jail. In 1889 he moved on a farm where he lived two years. Since that time he has been a section foreman. When this branch was extended to Marshfield he moved to Chili and has lived there since. His first wife, whose maiden name was Caroline Fisher, died in 1889. Later he was married to Mary Prokopek of Unity, who survives him. There are three children of his first wife's family, namely Mrs. Henry Clemens and Miss Clara Londgren, residing at Plymouth, and Arthur Londgren, well known in Neillsville, now making his home at Fargo, N.D.
Deceased was a member of the Modern Woodmen, which order will have charge of the funeral, to be held today, Thursday, at the home. He was a good citizen, a man who was thoroughly reliable in every way, a trusted and faithful employee of the company, he never neglected a duty. To the family is offered the sympathy of their friends here.
