Mrs. Nancy Lowe, one of the oldest residents of Clark Co., departed this life Tuesday morning, March 8, 1904, at the advance age of 92 years, 3 months and 4 days. She was born in Lancashire, Eng. Dec. 4, 1811 and came to America with her husband and family in 1857, settling in Rhode Island. They removed to Jackson Co., Wis. in 1865. Since the death of her husband she has made her home in this city with her son Jos. B. Lowe, where she died. Besides this son she leaves four step-sons, Jesse, Thomas, John and James, to whom she has been a mother since they were very young. She was a woman of intelligence and substantial character, such as have given to her native as well as her adopted country, sons and daughters of worth. For many years she had been a member of the Presbyterian Church.
The funeral takes place today at 2 p.m. at the residence of J.B. Lowe, Rev. G.W. Longenecker officiating.
