Foote, Blanche F. (Marriage - 6 SEP 1904)
Mr. Frederick John Mathwig and Miss Blanche Frances Foote were united in marriage Tuesday evening Sept, 6, 1904, at the home of the bride's mother, Mrs. Margaret R. Foote, in the town of Pine Valley, Clark County, Rev. G.W. Longenecker officiating. The wedding was a quiet one, only the immediate relatives being present. The groom, whose home was formerly Oshkosh, is a railway mail clerk, his route being on the Wisconsin Central between Chicago and Chippewa Falls. Though a comparative stranger to many here, he has in the circle of his acquaintance made appreciative friends who speak of him very highly, which with the responsible position he holds, indicate that he is a young man of ability and integrity. The bride was born and brought up on the home on Pleasant Ridge, attended our city schools, and has the esteem of a large circle of friends here. She is the youngest daughter of one of the most respected families in this vicinity, and Mr. Mathwig is to be congratulated on his choice of so lovely and worth a young lady. The young couple took the train Tuesday night for Milwaukee and Chicago, and later will visit the World's Fair at St. Louis. The will be at home after Oct. 1, at 310 South Oak Park Av., Oak Park, Ill. Their Neillsville friends offer their best wishes.
