Hohenstein, Irene (Marriage - 15 DEC 1904)
Mr. Henry Irving Wallace and Miss Irene Hohenstein were married Thursday night, Dec. 15, 1904, at the residence of the bride's parents, Mr. and Mrs. Fred Hohenstein, in the town of Washburn, Clark County, Rev. G.W. Longenecker officiating.
Anna Thomas of Neillsville acted as bridesmaid and Dannie Wallace, brother of the groom, as groomsman. The house was beautifully decorated with evergreen.
The groom is the son of Chas. F. Wallace and is a young man of good reputation and business enterprise. He is the proprietor of a saw mill in Washburn, which he will operate the coming season. The bride is a popular young lady in her locality. A host of friends gathered as guests at the wedding and many fine presents were bestowed. A bountiful supper was served, and in a social way the occasion was made a most happy one.
