The Kotchy Farm

The Kotchy farm in York Township, Section 30, was first bought and settled in 1893 by John Kotchy when he and his wife, Anna, came from Chicago, Illinois to Clark county. They had two sons and a daughter, Arthur, Edward, and Mates. Edward passed away in 1925 after serving in World Wax I. Mates went to Chicago to live, and Art with his wife, Marie, still run the home farm in Section 30. They have two children, a son Allen and a daughter Loretta., now Mrs. Wayne Trimberger. The John Kotchys passed away in the 1940's.

Many changes have taken place since those early days, and many trees cut and land cleared for crops and much bard work has been done, Grandpa Kotchy loved the land as do the Art Kotclay's, but all good things must come to an end, and they too must soon retire.
