Stockwell, Martha (Marriage - 20 JUL 1905)
Mr. Ernest G. Wanner and Miss Martha Stockwell were married at the residence of the bride's parents Thursday morning, July 20, 1905, Rev. Guy Campbell officiating. The wedding was a very quiet one, only the near relatives of the bride and groom being present. After the ceremony a wedding breakfast was served and the young couple took the 11:18 train (at Sidney) for a trip through the southern part of this state, later visiting points of interest in and about Minneapolis before going to Valley City, N.D., where they will be at home after Aug. 15.
The groom is a young man of good appearance and made a very favorable impression on all who met him here. He is in the real estate and abstract business at Valley City, being a member of the firm of Wanner and Pierce.
Mattie, as the bride is known to everyone here, was one of Neillsville, Clark Country's nicest girls, bright, attractive and of good disposition. She grew to womanhood here, graduated from our schools, and takes with her to her western home the best wishes of all.
