Hunter, Linnie M. (Marriage - 6 AUG 1905)
Mr. Alva Burns and Miss Linnie M. Hunter were married at the home of the bride's parents, Mr. and Mrs. H.H. Hunter, in the town of Washburn, Clark County, Aug. 6, 1905, George Bue, J.P. officiating. The bride's twin sister, Miss Leo Hunter acted as bridesmaid and William Poole as groomsman. About seventy-five relatives and friends were present. A fine wedding supper was served and many beautiful presents bestowed. On Friday night, preceding the ceremony a "Kitchen Shower" was given to the prospective bride at the home of Mr. and Mrs. Fred Sears, and many useful and pretty things were brought for the new home.
The young couple is visiting the groom's parents, Mr. and Mrs. Uriah Burns at Pittsville at present, but will begin housekeeping soon on the home farm in Washburn. They have the best wishes of their many friends.
