Cracraft, Emma W. (Marriage - 17 JUL 1906)
At the Congregational Parsonage Tuesday morning, July 17, 1906, occurred the wedding of Miss Emma W. Cracraft, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. W.S. Cracraft, to Edward Lye, son of Mrs. R. Lye, of Neillsville, Clark County, Wis. The ceremony which united the happy couple into the bonds of holy matrimony was pronounced by Rev. J. Webster Bailey at 10:30 o'clock before only the bride's parents. At 11:05 o'clock they left for Chicago, from whence they will take a trip around the Great Lakes before their return to this city. The bride was beautifully dressed in a traveling gown of chiffon Panama trimmed in white.
The two principals in this happy event are very prominent among a large circle of Ottawa friends. The bride, for the past six years has been an operator for the Central Union Telephone Co., and is an accomplished pianist, while the groom is a registered pharmacist and works for C.J. Lutz. As a drug clerk he ranks among the first in this city, and is one of the most trusted employees Mr. Lutz has ever had in his pharmacy. Their friendship extends over a wide circle and undoubtedly upon their return from the wedding trip they will be the recipients of many congratulations and best wishes. (The Ottawa, Ill. Free Trader)
