Short, Lizzie (Marriage - 12 Dec 1906)
Mr. Austin Toptine and Miss Lizzie Short were married Wednesday Dec. 12, 1906, at the Presbyterian Manse in Neillsville, Clark County, Rev. D.H. Rohrabaugh officiating. A wedding dinner was given at the home of the bride's parents Mr. and Mrs. John Short at Shortville, at which only the near relatives of the parties were present, after which the bride and groom dove to Neillsville and were married. They began housekeeping at once in Neillsville.
The groom is the son of Mr. and Mrs. George Toptine, of the town of Washburn. He is a young man of excellent character and good habits, and has had steady employment in the Neillsville Furniture Factory for some time past.
The bride has taught school successfully in this county during the past four years and has many friends not only at home, but also among the pupils and patrons where she has taught. With them we join in offering best wishes for a happy home and a prosperous life's journey.
