Smith, Melissa (Marriage - 27 Mar 1907)
A very pretty wedding took place March 27th, 1907, at 12 o'clock, at the home of Mr. and Mrs. Geo. W. Smith of Fullerton, N.D., when their daughter Miss Melissa Smith and Mr. Gust Gustafson were united in the holy bonds of matrimony, Rev. E.M. Isaac, of Ellendale, officiating. The bride was gowned in white silk and carried pale pink flowers, the groom wore the conventional black.
On account of the recent death of Mrs. Smith's mother, the wedding was a very quiet one, only about 20 of the most intimate friends were present. A good supply of costly presents was left when the guests departed.
The bride was born and raised near Neillsville, Clark County, and is well known and loved by all. The groom is of Swedish decent and a resident of Fullerton for 5 years and is highly respected by all who knew him, he is a smart energetic young man. They will be at home one-half mile from her parents after April 9.
