Davis, Aseneth (Marriage - 28 NOV 1907)
Mr. Dale Lee and Miss Aseneth Davis were married Thanksgiving Day, Nov. 28, 1907, at the home of Rev. A.R. Rice, who officiated. The wedding party consisted of the bride and groom, the groom's brother and sister, Ernest W. Lee and Ruth Lee, Ora Davis, the bride's sister and Raymond Hornbeck. They drove over from Granton, Clark County, returning after the ceremony, where a fine wedding supper was served at the home of the bride's parents, Mr. and Mrs. Davis.
The groom is the youngest son of Mr. and Mrs. T.F. Lee of the town of Fremont, a worthy young man, industrious and energetic. He recently bought the Dick Downer place near his father's, where he and his young wife will begin life for themselves. The writer is not acquainted with the bride but she is highly spoken of by those who know her. Of her the Granton News says:
"The bride, a worthy young lady, is an accomplished housekeeper, well qualified to fill the position for which she has been chose. She was the object of a pretty linen shower on Monday evening, which mutely testified to the esteem in which she is held."
The establishment of new homes by the young people brought up her is a matter tat we esteem of great interest. Clark Country's own boys and girls is what we believe in and our best wishes are extended to this new home.
