Meade, Emerette L. (6 Jul 1823 - Feb 1906)
Emerette Louise Avery was born July 6, 1823, at Saratoga Springs, N.Y. In early childhood she moved with her parents to St. Catherine, Canada.
In 1842 she was married to Eli Meade and in 1856 moved with her husband to Wisconsin, settling on the East Fork of Black River on a farm afterward known as the "Meade Place", where they lived until 1873. From this farm they moved on a farm a few miles south of Alma Center, where they resided until 1888, when Mr. Meade died in November of that year.
