On Tuesday Henry Marden was killed by the cars at Owen, Clark County. It appears that he was working in a livery stable there and went to the train to hand a package or letter to the mail agent; the train was in motion as he reached forward and it is thought that he stumbled or stepped off the platform and was drawn under the train. He was badly injure and died at 2:45 p.m. Fremont Burge, who is working in Owen, notified his relatives here by telegraph, and his sister, Mrs. David Wood and brother Ira, with H.H. Eberhardt, took the midnight train to Owen, returning Wednesday with the remains. Deceased was a single man twenty-nine years of age, the son of Mrs. Charlotte Marden of this city. He leaves also seven brothers and two sisters to mourn his untimely death.
