Johnson, Betsy M. (9 Jul 1823 - 9 May 1907)
Mrs. Solomon Johnson died at her home in Pine Valley, Clark County, May 9, 1907. Deceased, whose maiden name was Betsy M. Bashford, was born in Columbia Co., N.Y., July 9, 1823. She was married in New York to Solomon Johnson sixty-one years ago, and they came west soon after. They lived in Dane and Dodge Counties and in the early fifties moved to Weston Rapids, where they have lived ever since. Besides her aged husband, she is survived by one child, Mrs. George Carskaden. While not a member of any church, Mrs. Johnson was a devout Christian and a good woman.
The funeral was held at the M.E. Church Sunday afternoon, Rev. W.P. Burrows officiating.
