McKimm, Samuel (1862? - 15 JUN 1907)
Samuel McKimm died at Grand Rapids, Minn., June 15, 1907, of diphtheria.
Deceased was born in Canada and was 45 years of age at the time of his death. He came to Clark County in 1874, and lived here until about four years ago when he moved to Minnesota. He leaves two daughters, one living in Neillsville and the other in Duluth, besides aged parents living in the town of York, four sisters, Mrs. Ecker of Whitehall, Mrs. Sam Christie of the town of Eaton, Mrs. James Christie of Woodburn, Ore., and three brothers, Joseph and Robert of the town of York and James who resides in Canada.
During his residence in Clark Co. he followed the logging business and was an honored and respected citizen. The bereaved relatives have the sympathy of all.
(Follow on in 9/26/1907 REP & PRESS) Samuel McKimm was born in Pasley, Scotland Nov. 3, 1826. He came to Canada with his parents in 1838 and was married to Isabelle Jane Courtney in 1849. He had eight children, four sons and four daughters. His daughters are: Mrs. Chas. Ecker of Whitehall, Wis.; Mrs. Ed Bagley of Town of York; Mrs. Samuel Christie of the town of Eaton and Mrs. James Christie of Woodburn, Ore. His sons are: James McKimm of Elizabethtown, Ontario, Canada; Joseph and Robert of town of York and Samuel Jr., who died at Grand Rapids, Minn., June 15, 1907.
