Wendel, Jacob (1838? - 18 Sep 1907)
Jacob Wendel died at his home in the town of Levis, Clark County, Sept. 18, 1907, aged 69 years. On coming to America the first time he went to Winnipeg, Canada, where he remained for a time and later returned to his home in the old country. Later he came back, remaining in Chicago for a time and then coming to Clark County, buying a farm in Levis. He leaves a wife, three daughters, two of whom live in Chicago and one at home, and one son, Jacob, who is married and looks after the affairs at the home. Burial took place in the Levis Cemetery, Rev. W.P. Burrows officiating.
