Dresden, Henry F. (15 Jun 1833 - 15 Oct 1907)
Dr. Henry F. Dresden was found dead in his bed Tuesday evening at the Dresden House, kept by his son, C.B. Dresden. He was not feeling well during the day and stayed in his room. In the evening he was called, and on his failing to answer, the room was opened and he was found as if quietly sleeping on the bed.
Deceased was born in Rutland Co., Vt., Jun 15, 1833. He came west with his parents who settled in Waupaca Co. when he was about nine years of age. He was married in 1852, his wife dying about 14 years ago. Surviving him are four sons, John who lives in N.D., Fay at Baraboo, Frank at La Valle and C.B. Dresden in Neillsville; also two daughters, Mrs. J.R. Spear in N.D., and Miss Hattie Dresden of Neillsville.
For fifty years Mr. Dresden was principally engaged in veterinary work, though for ten years he also followed railroad contracting, leading a very active life. He was a man who always intended to do the right thing by his fellow men. He was accommodating, kind, ready to help all who needed help, and never forgot a good turn done to him.
The funeral will be held today, Thursday, at 2 p.m. at the Congregational Church, Rev. A.R. Rice officiating.
