About a hundred cars loaded with fishermen from all parts of the county were parked along the shore of Black River near the dam last Sunday. The banks were literally covered with fishermen and it was difficult to find a place to set out a pole. Some were fortunate and landed several nice big redhorse while others went home with nothing but the usual, fishermen's luck.
Forty cans of trout were received by the local Rod & Gun club last week. The trout were placed in the large tanks at the club’s sheds near the cemetery where they will be taken care of during the summer months. Next fall, they will be placed in nearby trout streams. This is the finest bunch of trout ever received here and with the proper care they will be a good size fish next fall.
