Fuchs, Martha (1865 - 15 Jan 1908)
Mrs. Frank Fuchs died early yesterday morning after a long illness, the direct cause of her death being a tumor in the throat, which practically deprived her of speech more than a year ago, and which has resulted in the sure and steady decline of her health.
Mrs. Fuchs, whose maiden name was Martha Haberland, was born in Germany in 1865, and immigrated with her parents to America in 1876, settling in Michigan. She was married to frank Fuchs in 1897, came to Oregon with him six years later, and lived in Dallas from that time until her death. Her husband, four step-sons and her daughter survive her in Oregon. And she left her father, a brother and three sisters in the east (Clark County, Wis.). The funeral was held at the Evangelical Church this afternoon at 1:30 o’clock, and the body was taken to the Odd Fellows Cemetery for burial (Dallas, Ore., Observer, Dec. 31, 1907)
