Lockbram, Christian (3 Nov 1839 - 1 Feb 1908)
Christian Lockbram died very suddenly at his home in Pine Valley, Clark County, north of Neillsville, Saturday night, Feb. 1, 1908. He had just returned from Neillsville and was taken suddenly with heart trouble, dying in a few moments. A physician was called but it was too late.
Deceased was born in Germany Nov. 3, 1839, and came to America when he was about fifteen years of age. He enlisted as a soldier in the Civil War and lost an arm in the service. He lived a number of years in Milwaukee, later moving to Clark County. He was married to Miss Pflughoeft, who survives him with her three children, two sons and a daughter.
Mr. Lockbram was a man of general intelligence, a great reader, and kept well posted on the news of the world and took an interest in all local affairs.
The funeral was held Wednesday afternoon at the Congregational Church, Rev. A.R. Rice officiating.
