Berg, Paul (14 Nov 1881 - 16 Apr 1908)
On Thursday April 16, 1908, Paul Berg, who had been sick a long time with tuberculosis, died at his boarding place in Minneapolis. His uncle, Jessie Lowe, was notified and went to Minneapolis at once, meeting Seth Berg, a brother of the deceased. The remains were brought to Sechlerville, Wis., for burial Saturday, beside his mother who died twenty-three years ago. Paul was born in Neillsville, Clark County Nov. 14, 1881. His mother died when he was a small boy and he went to live with his paternal grandparents at Sechlerville. After his grandfather’s death he came back to Neillsville with his grandmother who keep house for his father Philip Berg, making his home here for some time. The father died about five years ago. Paul, who always depended a great deal on his own resources worked his say to a position in the railway mail service, following that business till so weakened by disease that he could do the work no longer. His uncles, Thomas and Jessie Lowe took an interest in him and assisted him to get to the Sanitarium at Wales, Wis., but he was beyond any help and gradually grew weaker, and a short time ago returned to his old boarding place in Minneapolis, where he died.
