Poole, Thomas (24 Jan 1848 - 25 Apr 1908)

Thos. Poole died at his home in Levis, Clark County, April 25, 1908, the cause of his death being typhoid fever. He was born Jan. 24, 1848, at Woodsfield, Ohio. At seven years of age he was left an orphan. In April 1865 he came to Richland Co., Wis., where he was married June 4, 1869 to Mary Jane Poff, and where they continued to live a number of years. In 1894 they came with their family to Clark county. Deceased leaves a widow and two daughters, Mrs. H.H. Hunter and Mrs. Walter Troxel, also three sons, Chas. M. of Neillsville, Ernest of Oshkosh, and William G., who resides with his mother. He leaves also fifteen grandchildren and one great-grandchild. He was baptized and joined the Christian Church in Dec. 1869, and in his life has been a faithful and consistent follower of the principles of his faith. The funeral was held Monday, Rev. N.F. Chapman officiating, burial taking place in the French Cemetery in Levis.
