Wenzel, Christina (Dec 1826 - 9 Jan 1909)
Mrs. Christina Wenzel died at the home of her son Anthony Wenzel in this city (Neillsville, Clark County), at three o’clock a.m. Jan. 9, 1909, aged eighty-two years and six months. She was born in Saxony, Germany, where she grew to womanhood and was married there to Chas. Wenzel. They came to America in 1854, settling in Ozaukee Co., Wis., on a farm. Mr. Wenzel died about twelve years ago and about four years ago deceased came to Neillsville to live with her son and family. Although advanced in years she made friends and acquaintances here to whom she became much attached. Besides Anthony Wenzel she leaves two other sons and five daughters, three children being dead.
The remains were taken to Saukville, Ozaukee Co., accompanied by Anthony Wenzel on Tuesday, for burial in the family cemetery lot. Mrs. Wenzel was a member of the Lutheran Church of Saukville.
