Esselman, C. (7 Dec 1834 - 24 Jan 1909)
C. Esselman, who was a resident of the town of Loyal, Clark County for nearly thirty-one years and who recently moved to Marshfield, died in that city Sunday, Jan. 24, 1909, at the home of his daughter, Mrs. Jos. Lehnard, his new home in Marshfield not being quite ready to occupy. He was born in Munster, Germany, Dec. 7, 1834, came to America with his wife and family in 1867, settling in Washington Co., Wis., and came to the town of Loyal thirty-one years ago. There he developed one of the finest farms in the town and brought up his family, three sons and seven daughters, all of who have taken worthy and honorable places in the community; Clements B. the oldest son lives in Loyal; Herman B., at Athens,; Louis at home; one daughter, Mrs. Sophia Lehnard, wife of Jos.
