Rand, Martha D. (1 Jan 1863 - 27 Nov 1936)
Mrs. Martha Ditton Rand was born at South Whitley, Ind., Jan. 1, 1863 and died in Neillsville, Clark County, Wis., Nov. 27, 1936.
Mrs. Rand came to Clark County more than fifty years ago and has lived on her small farm north of Greenwood for the past forty-five years.
She leaves to mourn her loss five children, Harry and Homer of Portland, Ore.; Paris of Fond du Lac, Wis.; Mrs. Ernest Dixon and Mrs. A.L. Devos of Neillsville, Wis., also three grandchildren, one brother, Frank Ditton of Greenwood, and two sisters, Mrs. Clara Fricke of Minneapolis, Minn., and Mrs. Harriet Smith of Columbia City, Ind.
Her husband preceded her in death.
The funeral was held at her home at 2:00 o’clock Monday afternoon. Mr. Forman sang two solos: "The Ninety and Nine: and "A City Four Square". Burial was in the Greenwood Cemetery, Rev. C.R. Gaylord officiated.
Those from away who attended the funeral were: Mr. and Mrs. Paris Rand and daughter Virginia of Fond du Lac; Mr. and Mrs. Ernest Dixon and son Donald and Mrs. and Mrs. A.L. Devos of Neillsville. Mrs. Clara Fricke and Mr. and Mrs. Forman of Minneapolis.
