Mr. Charles Shaffer of Washburn, Clark Co. and Miss Emma Schafer of Chili were married at the M.E. Parsonage Thursday afternoon, Oct. 1, Rev. W.P. Burrows officiating. The groom is a steady going industrious young man. He bears an excellent reputation in every way among his fellow towns-people. The bride is known to us only by reputation and is from all reports entirely worthy of the man of her choice. The groom owns a farm in Washburn, on which it is reported they will make their home in the spring.
