Anding, Elsie (Marriage - 21 Oct 1908)
Mr. Sherman A. Gress and Miss Elsie Anding were quietly married Wednesday evening, Oct. 21, 1908, at the Gress parlors, Rev. W.P. Burrows officiating. Only a few friends and the relatives of the parties were present. After the ceremony and just before they sat down in the wedding supper, a large company of the groom’s gentleman friends called to congratulate him and offer their regards to himself and bride; this came as a very pleasant surprise to them. The young couple took the early train for Minneapolis to spend a week or so with friends there. The groom is so well known here theat he needs no introduction to our readers. His honesty and industry, his absolute uprightness of character are well known to nearly everyone. The bride, who is the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Oscar Anding of Lynn, Clark County, has worked two years in the Gress restaurant and has won the respect of everyone with whom she has come in contact, a perfect lady under all circumstances, quiet, intelligent and dignified, she is well worthy of the young man who has won her for his wife. They expect to make Neillsville their home and to them and such as they should this city gives a glad welcome.
