Mr. Alfred Kristiansen of Withee, Clark County and Miss Effie Wiley were untied in marriage Tuesday, Dec. 29, 1908, at the home of the bride’s parents, Mr. and Mrs. E.R. Wiley in Thorp, Rev. Bachman officiating.

The bride is quite well known to many of the young people here, having taught school a few miles north of the city and attended teachers’ institute here.

The groom, who formerly lived in Greenwood, has for the past six years run a drug store in Withee; he also has a drug store in Owen, dividing his time between the two places of business. After a trip to Minneapolis and other points the young couple will begin housekeeping in their new home in Withee.
