Shummel, Grace (Marriage - 27 Mar 1909)

Mr. Henry Wittke and Miss Grace Shummel were united in marriage, Saturday, March 27, 1909 at the home of the bride’s parents, Mr. and Mrs. Geo. Shummel in this city (Neillsville, Clark County), Rev. H.A. Risser officiating. About forty guests were present, with more than the usual happy accompaniments of fine presents and bountiful wedding dinner. One peculiar feature of this wedding was the presence of four generations, Mr. and Mrs. Abner Darling, parents of Mrs. Geo. Shummel, and her daughter, Mrs. Aug. Wittke, with her little daughter Blanche. It was indeed a happy gathering, one that would seem to foretell of a prosperous and happy future for these worthy young folks, whose industry and high character should bring good things to life.
